The assumption that to satisfy the needs of an aging population your service has to be grounded in historical concepts and non-digital solutions. Whilst there will always been a need for these, for those without online access, it should not dictate how you operate online as you will be introducing Digital Inequalities and which is perceived as discrimination.

Solutions that are easier for older people to use is the same as designing for people with disabilities. It's about understanding the abilities and behaviours of users to provide highly intuitive digital services for all ages and abilities. The NHS has been doing the same and their studies have provided unique insights into Patient Behaviour, which can be used to improve all Services at all levels.
