Some free tools and guidance

Our Modules do provide an automatic resizing/cropping tool when you are adding images. This is designed to trim the image to the required image size for that module

Whilst this is handy it cannot make any artistic or create decisions based on the content on the image.

You therefore may need to adjust the image before applying it to the site.

There are many available tools on the market that come free, paid or part of a subscription service.

What to avoid

• Images that are busy and crowded
• Images that contain text, more than just a simple single message, as it will not pass accessibility standards nor will the words be used as part of search results. WCAG: Images/Posters with Complex Text
